How Jayaseelan finds the real leader behind the heinous crimes is what makes the second half.
The revelation forms the interval twist, which would be a little surprising if you are not a keen-eyed viewer. In comes ACP Jayaseelan (Vishal), who commands a covert operation and gets rid of all the strong-armers in the Madurai city. The very next day, Harish Uthaman gets killed by the gang leader. Harish Uthaman, who plays a cop and an integral part in the encounter of gangsters, assassinates the brother of the gang leader. However, when an eviction notice is served on her house, he comes to her help.
Taking a leaf from real life events, Suseenthiran has managed to produce a cop actioner which is a reasonably good attempt, but the narrative technique he has mastered in the film is quite disappointing.Ī spate of murders by an anonymous gang in Madurai provokes the police department to conduct an undercover operation headed by Manikandan (Anandraj). Recovery agent Saravanan is disliked by his house owner, Mallika. Paayum Puli is a good example of how Suseenthiran is an effective effortless film-maker in weaving emotional undercurrents even in a very ordinary story.
